In June 2023, Mackenzie Barron-Tai graduated with an MSW and an MPH from Portland State University and Oregon Health & Science University. Before beginning the program, Mackenzie received undergraduate degrees in public health and human development and family sciences. She has worked in wellness promotion at university and community recreation centers, as well as nursing in an acute rehabilitation facility. Mackenzie’s interests sit at the intersection of climate change, environmental justice, and health equity. She currently works as the Program Coordinator for the Social Work Futures Lab.
